See, you'd assume that'd be the case, but there's no way to drag and drop the trash into the sidebar. It makes me sad. :(

thats great but dont u just drag it in to the sidebar? (havent tried yet because its not really the #1 thing I need to do rite now) >:(

Here's another way that will work with all volumes, not just the Boot volume

I made a symbolic link, using this Contextual Menu item plugin:

However, even with that created and dragged to the sidebar, it shows up as ".Trash" with the period. I am also unable to assign a nicer looking icon. It remains the generic folder.

How do you make a "symbolic link to the new .trash"?

(that would really help)
