Changing your default browser

I forgot how much of a pain it is to not change your default browser. I have Firefox open and plenty of pages pulled up, but when I click on a link in Twitter, or any other application for that matter, Safari starts bouncing in my dock. Safari is a great browser, but [...] ... Continue reading »

  • You can also do this without having to start Safari (just in case starting Safari REALLY bugs you).

    In Firefox:
    Go to Firefox Menu -> Preferences
    Then, in the main tab, click the "Check now" button at the very bottom. If Firefox isn't the current default browser, you'll be prompted to make it so.

    In times gone by in OSX, you could also use the internet preferences pane in System Pref's, but that's gone now.
